Legacy ANIMATION PROJECT VIEW PROJECT Brief TEAM BRIEF A team animation project I worked on during my 5th year at ISD. Our team was composed of Maxime Legat, Fabien Vandemoortele and myself. We used Alias and Blender for the modeling and Corona in 3dsmax for the rendering. The vehicle was designed by 5 transportation designers. Storyboard CAR MODIFICATIONS STORYBOARD LEGACY Car modifications 1 CAR MODIFICATIONS CAR MODIFICATIONS LEGACY First we decided with designers to change some parts of the car to be more realistic. We have modified the wheel arch and the vehicle height. We also added more generative design on the chassis. BLENDER BASE ALIAS MODIFICATIONS Car modifications 2 SIMULATOR CAR MODIFICATIONS LEGACY The new vehicle was modeled on Alias in order to have better reflections for the animation. BLENDER MODEL ALIAS MODEL Simulator MAYA ANIMATION SIMULATOR LEGACY For the simulator, we had to think to mechanical arms with articulations.
We took inspirations on existing objects. After few tests we finally chose the 2 last ones.

Maya animation BEAUTY DEVELOPMENT MAYA ANIMATION LEGACY Animations were made on Maya. We just exported each shot from Maya to 3dsmax as Alembic.

Then adjust and link our car directly on 3dsmax.
